Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for Pain

We will first assess the area of pain for each of our patients. Afterwards, we will take some of our patient’s blood and spin it in a centrifuge separating the platelets from the white and red blood cells. The platelets will then be re-injected back into the patient’s body. Platelets cause an inflammatory response with the body and tell the body to send more platelets to an area to heal itself. The platelets form a clotting cascade giving the body the necessary tools to slowly heal itself.

PRP PROCEDURE

A vial of the patient’s blood is taken and spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the growth factors and platelets. They are then re-injected into specific areas of the body to help regenerate damaged cells. Since we take platelets from the patient’s own blood, we avoid any risk of rejection from the body. PRP has helped many patients avoid surgery and other invasive procedures and there is practically no down time.

At INNOVA, we combine our PRP treatment with silver (a known anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and anti-viral element), B-12 (to aid the healing process), and ozone (which kills off any possible infections and oxygenates the blood for a quicker healing time without worry of infection).
